    • Kool-Aid♥

Not real sure, but you can try it (:
      No harm in trying.

    • Yes, it plays all burned disc fine (even blue-ray, if you can afford them!).

    • I think you can only play them on the 60gb system and some specific 40gb systems. I’d go for the MGS4 bundle personally, it’s one of the best games out for the ps3 right now.

The 60gb might be harder to find because they’re not making new ones any more. You can upgrade your hard drive at any time so it doesn’t really matter if you get the 40gb.

    • UNLESS THERE IS SOMEONE WHO IS CRAZY ENOUGH TO CRACK HIS EXPENSIVE PS3 OPEN AND EXPERIMENT ON HOW TO MODIFY IT TO PLAY BURNED PS2 DISCS, MAYBE YEAH. IN TIME MEANTIME, NO YOU CAN’T. SO FAR, IT ONLY PLAYS BURNED MUSIC AND VIDEO, BUT NOT GAMES. SONY WILL MAKE A COMPLETE FOOL OF THEMSELVES IF THEY ALLOW PEOPLE TO PLAY BURNED PS2 GAMES BECAUSE NOBODY WILL BUY ANYMORE GAMES IF WE CAN USE BURNED ONES. YOU WHAT I’M SAYING?

THERE MAY BE NO MORE B/C PS3s ON HOLIDAY. MAYBE PRE-OWNED. ON EBAY.

BY THE WAY, PS2 DONT SCRATCH DISCS (WELL ,AT LEAST IT’S NOT SUPPOSE TO), BUT PEOPLE DO.

    • You cannot play backup copies or out of region PS2 games on the PS3. The PS3 is virtually hack proof. Supposedly someone came up with a way to play backup copies of PS3 games with firmware version 1.31. The problem with that hack is you can never update your firmware ever again. If you ever did, the PS3 would want to update and they’d see your hacked software. You also wouldn’t be able to play any game that has a firmware update on the disc.

In short, keep your old PS2 if you you want to keep playing your backups and out of region games.

P.S. CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL
